Raisina Science Diplomacy Initiative

The Raisina Science Diplomacy Initiative was launched on March 5, 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, during the Raisina Dialogue. It creates a specialised platform to connect India’s scientific capacity with foreign policy and global cooperation.

Science diplomacy is becoming important because challenges such as climate change, pandemics, artificial intelligence, space security and critical technologies cannot be handled by one country alone. This initiative gives India a forum to build partnerships around research, innovation and emerging technologies.
