ISRO Successfully Grows Cowpea Seeds in Space In January 2025, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) achieved a major milestone in space agriculture by successfully growing cowpea seeds in space. The experiment can support future long-duration human missions by improving understanding of plant growth in microgravity.
