India’s Decision on Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs)

The Government of India has decided that no new environmental clearances will be granted for Hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) production projects beyond December 31, 2027. This decision is aligned with India’s commitments under the Montreal Protocol and the Kigali Amendment, which aim to reduce substances harmful to the climate.
