Bihar’s First Nuclear Power Plant

On 24 June 2025, the Centre announced in Patna that it had approved the establishment of a nuclear power plant in Bihar.

The project is part of India’s plan to establish six Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) across the country under the new Nuclear Energy Mission.
