Three pillars of LeadIT 2.0
1. Global forum for just and equitable industry transition
This pillar focuses on continuous dialogue between governments, industries and multilateral platforms.
2. Technology transfer and co-development
This pillar focuses on clean technology cooperation.
3. Industry transition partnerships
This pillar helps countries and companies create practical transition projects.
Significance for India

Global importance
LeadIT is important because industrial decarbonisation can bring wider benefits beyond emission reduction. low-carbon transition of industry can support climate resilience, energy security, innovation, socio-economic development and job creation.
Challenges
LeadIT 2.0 still faces several implementation barriers.
Way Forward
LeadIT 2.0 must move from dialogue to implementation.
