Prithvi-II, Agni-I and Akash Prime Missiles

On 16–17 July 2025, India successfully test-fired three important missile systems — Agni-I, Prithvi-II, and Akash Prime — from testing sites in Odisha and Ladakh.

The tests demonstrated India’s growing strategic deterrence capability and advancements in high-altitude air-defence systems.

What are Agni-I and Prithvi-II?
Missile Key Details
Agni-I A nuclear-capable surface-to-surface ballistic missile with a range of about 700–900 km.
Prithvi-II India’s first indigenously developed ballistic missile with a strike range of around 350 km.
Strategic Role Both missiles are part of India’s Strategic Forces Command.
