SheLeads Programme

The Union Minister for Women and Child Development recently inaugurated the second edition of UN Women’s flagship capacity-building programmeSheLeads II: Workshop for Women Leaders, in New Delhi. This workshop is aimed at empowering women to take on leadership roles in public and political life, with a focus on the upcoming Lok Sabha and State Assembly elections.

About SheLeads Programme

The SheLeads initiative is a flagship programme by the UN Women India Country Office designed to:

  • Advance gender equality in public and political leadership.

  • Equip women leaders with the necessary skills, platforms, and networks to contest elections and contribute to governance.

  • Empower women to shape policies that reflect the diverse needs and aspirations of the population.
